Save Modbury Hospital - Maternity. Paediatrics. What's next?

This is the web site of the Modbury Hospital Community Support Group.
Its purpose is to provide information to everyone affected by the serious service cuts at Modbury Hospital that, according to the State's Labor government's plans, are to come into effect in January 2008.

Under these plans, the hospital's recently renovated, modern Maternity ward is to be closed; the Paediatrics ward is to be replaced by the "23 hour care" facility where children will not be able to stay overnight. Without these essential services, the Modbury Hospital will not be able to adequately serve the needs of families with young children in the Northern suburbs and Hills.

To save the Modbury Hospital as a fully functional hospital in our community we need to make our voices heard - and we need to do it now!
